On the A1(M), Junction 35 is where the M18 begins, Junction 36 takes the A630 towards Rotherham and Doncaster, Junction 37 the A635 for Doncaster and Barnsley, and Junction 38 at Skellow the A638 towards Wakefield. The M18 swings round the other side: Junction 2 is the Wadworth interchange with the A1(M), Junction 3 the A6182 into Doncaster, Junction 4 the A630, and Junction 5 the link to the M180 for Scunthorpe and Grimsby, with Doncaster North services alongside. In the town centre, Frenchgate has three ways in for cars, and they are easy to confuse. The Rooftop Car Park is reached from West Laith Gate, the main Multi-Storey from Church View, and the LNER long-stay car park for the station also from Church View. Look for the nearest blue driver location sign or marker post and read us the letters and numbers on it, which pins down the road and direction. Failing that, tell us the last junction sign you saw and roughly how long ago. Keep behind the barrier while you check, not beside the car.
My car is on the roof of Frenchgate and it will not start. What do you need?
Tell us it's the Rooftop Car Park (the one entered from West Laith Gate), the bay or row if you can see a marker, and the make and model. A dead battery can usually be jump-started or replaced where the car is parked. If the car has to come away on a truck, we'll plan that with you before anyone sets off.
Can you collect from Doncaster Royal Infirmary?
Yes. Give us the gate number and the car park, because the hospital site on Armthorpe Road is spread across several gated entrances. If you're a patient or visiting and don't want to wait by the car, tell us and we'll arrange a time that works.
